What is your favorite mode? #hamradio #ARRL

Ham radio is a BIG hobby, enough for everyone?  Each proponent seems to insist their favorite mode is the best mode.

Is it CW?  How about digital voice like Fusion or M17?  AM or Sideband?   Dstar or P25?

So, please tell, what is your favorite mode and why in comments.  Tastefully worded comments are approved for readers to see.

It's NOT #hamradio but

With the reduction in price for the General Mobile Radio System license, there may be a marketing opportunity for amateur radio there.

Does your club sponsor a local GMRS repeater?  Tell folks about it in comments.

The local repeater in Manhattan, KS issues weather warnings over the air automatically.

There's a GMRS linked system in New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado with a weekly net.

The GMRS market may be attracting new folks ... and offering an opportunity to attract new amateur radio folks.

A number of hams are also actively involved in GMRS and actively discussing amateur radio there.  It seems like fertile ground for attracting new users, especially young people to the BEST hobby on the Planet.

If you hear WTRE806 on, ask him about amateur radio.

Hamshack Hotline offers support on Discord. #hamradio

From the Discord group…

So the reason we have directed people to DC, and not FB is we are finding with multiple social media platforms, it is much harder to police and be sure that information that is being dispersed is correct. I am looking at using FB as our external advertisement for our services, and DC as the place people come and chat about things. We are not a secret society nor are we a "click"! All the changes we have been doing over the past month, are to better enable us to maintain the services we provide. I know for some this is difficult for some to deal with, especially with the varied amounts of knowledge of different Social Media platforms, and technical abilities. If you have posts and concerns, instead of posting on FB please feel free to post here in lobby, or in any of the appropriate side chats on the HH DC channel. Thank You for your understanding.--
