Puerto Rico has been through a lot with Hurricanes and Earthquakes. The Island is populated by many residents who are strong and resilient.
The Island has a number of amateur radio operators. Many of them learned from the recent hurricanes that left the Island without power for months. They learned from the recent earthquakes. They helped their neighbors event when there was no power.
Are you able to talk to the mainland when your cellphone is dead? Can you communicate with your out-of-state loved ones when your power is off? Ham radio rules.
