These are all open source websites (Free).


MAPPING

http://www.osgeo.org/  This is a free GIS mapping system.

http://www.esri.com/software/mapping-for-everyone This is a free GIS mapping system.

http://www.schoolcopsoftware.com/ This program allows you to map the inside of a building. (Great for setting up a tactical plan for an active shooter inside a school or church.)

http://www.zeemaps.com/  This is a simpler version of the top two crime maps.

http://www.bairsoftware.com/raidsonline/ Also a simpler version of the top two crime maps.


TRAINING

http://www.courselab.com/  Allows you to make your own quizzes for training purposes.

http://www.myicourse.com  Also a website that allows you to make quizzes and track an officer’s progress.


SCREEN CASTS

http://screenr.com/  Allows you to make a screen cast video that shows everything that you are doing on the computer. (Great for people who do not remember how to do things on the computer.)

ONLINE EDUCATION

http://free-ed.net Allows you to take online college courses for free.

http://www.mctft.com/ The multijurisdictional counter drug task force offers free law enforcement training online.
